Achieve Fun And Enjoyment Through Self Improvement

If you are apathetic or neutral about a task, you are not going to be inclined to do it are you? You certainly will not be passionate or enthusiastic about the event in question.

If you are not enthusiastic or keen on the activity, its unlikely you’ll exert yourself and put the full effort required to really make a success of it. This is an area you may want to focus your self improvement energies on.

Given life is full of tasks that we need to fulfill, there are some things that we may simply not like. But some of this is mandatory so we have to do it. So it is best if you “make yourself” enjoy it, in order to maximize the benefits.

For example you may not particularly like cleaning the house but you do it because you want to live in a reasonably pleasant environment. While the task at hand may be a chore, if you look at the benefits, it will make the task easier to carry out. By thinking how horrible it’ll be to live in an unkempt house, it will spur on the motivation to do it. And once the house is clean and sparkling, you will certainly not look at the task you underwent as a chore. In fact you’ll be pleased with the results!

So the point is, if you enjoy something you are far more likely to engage, take action and do it. And if you do find it all a bit overwhelming just think of the benefits that will result by doing the task.

Ideally we want to be experiencing fun and enjoyment with every single aspect of our lives. If you are “not enjoying” life, a “simple” solution is to change your outlook and perspective and actually enjoy the things we are doing. A case of making the decision that you are going to view things differently.

So if you are in a rut, snap out of it and make the decision to have fun. Of course sometimes it is easier to say something then actually put it in practice. But if you make the decision and focus your self improvement energies, with time, it will happen. For time combined with effort is a magnificent vehicle to achieve the desired outcomes.
